Ingredient: Spruce Lignans

Spruce lignans are polyphenols found in the Norway spruce tree. In the body, lignans are metabolized into enterolignans, enterodiols and enterolactones; the latter two are structurally similar to estrogen, and thus can block excess estrogen from receptors. These polyphenols may support hormonal health in men and women. The Norway spruce is one of the richest sources of plant lignans and is unique because it metabolizes mostly into enterolactone and not enterodiol.
