Ingredient: Zeaxanthin
Zeaxanthin is one of two carotenoids (the other is lutein) found naturally in the human macula, the oval-shaped, highly pigmented yellow spot near the center of the retina. Both carotenoids act as powerful antioxidants against damaging free radicals and filter out blue light, which is believed to play a role in the formation of cataracts. Zeaxanthin is deposited at the center of the macula, where protection from oxidation is most critical. It has also been linked to strong, clear arteries.
